Translational Oncogenomics call for papers from Dr Michael Spinella

General call for papers
(scroll down for 2010 special issue)

On behalf of the Editorial board I invite you to submit your next article to Translational Oncogenomics, an open access electronic journal published by Libertas Academica. The journal specializes in providing wide and open access for high quality genomic scale data related to human cancer etiology, detection, prognosis and treatment. We accept original studies in basic and applied oncogenomics and thoughtful reviews, surveys, opinions, commentaries, techniques, and essays. All submitted articles will be considered and peer-reviewed.

We look forward to receiving your manuscript.

What is the advantage to you of publishing in Translational Oncogenomics?
  • Full open access: everyone can read your article and you retain copyright in it
  • Publishing decision within 2 weeks of submission
  • Your paper will not be rejected due to lack of space and will be published immediately on acceptance
  • Prompt and fair peer review from two expert peer reviewers
  • Frequent updates on your paper’s status
  • Friendly responsive staff
What a previous author said:

"LA is different, and hopefully represents a kind of scientific publication machinery that removes the hurdles from free flow of scientific thought."

In summary:

The advantages of a younger journal such as Translational Oncogenomics are numerous but in essence allow us a greater flexibility and responsiveness to authors and readers that older journals cannot match.

Yours sincerely,
Dr Michael Spinella

2010 special issue call for papers

Dear colleagues,

I invite you to submit a paper to the forthcoming special issue of Translational Oncogenomics.

About the special issue

This special issue is titled "Transcriptomes and Epigenomes in Cancer".

The aim of this special issue is to provide a forum for timely primary articles and reviews on genome wide transcriptional and epigenetic regulation during cancer progression and response to therapy.

Papers within the scope of this special issue include:
  • Gene expression profiling, including microarray and deep-sequencing studies related to cancer initiation, progression, diagnosis and response to therapy.

  • Genome wide transcription factor binding of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes.

  • Epigenetic regulation of the chromatin landscape in cancer.

  • Large-scale DNA methylation analysis.

  • miRNA profiling.

  • Review articles in the area of transcriptomics and epigenomics focused on tumor type and/or response to a class of therapeutics. Examples: the transcriptome of cancer stem cells, gene profiles associated with metastasis, tumor response to cytotoxic or targeted therapies.

  • Original papers or review articles on bioinformatic, statistical and computational methods that support genome-wide studies.

  • Commentaries and perspectives related to Transcriptomes and Epigenomes in Cancer.
Deadlines

Registration of manuscripts: 1 May 2010

Manuscripts submitted: 1 June 2010

Completion of peer review: circa 1 July 2010
