Dr David Harris is the Director of the Cord Blood Stem Cell Bank, and Professor of Immunology, at the University of Arizona, USA. He is also a member of the Arizona Cancer Centre and the Steele Memorial Children’s Research Centre, with the same institution. Prior to working there he was at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Switzerland, and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He was educated at Wake Forest University and Bowman Gray Medical School.
Dr Harris has been elected to numerous editions of Who’s Who and has published 297 articles, abstracts, reviews and book chapters on a variety of topics related to stem cells and immunology. Dr Harris has experience working in basic research and development, commercial and clinical aspects of cell therapy, primarily as it concerns cord blood stem cells. He is currently working on several funded research projects on cord blood stem cells.
