Biomedical Engineering and Computational Biology Added to ProQuest Illustrata Natural Science

Posted Wed, Jun, 06,2012

We are pleased to announce the addition of Biomedical Engineering and Computational Biology to Illustrata Natural Science, a ProQuest database.

Illustrata Natural Science is ProQuest’s ‘Deep Indexing’ natural science database whereby important information contained in figures and tables has metadata tagged and becomes searchable through the database. This provides researchers with access to relevant information that was previously difficult to find. Containing over 3,460 journals, the database makes data hidden in figures and tables easily searchable and retrievable for researchers.

ProQuest’s Illustrata Natural Science won the ‘CHOICE’ Outstanding Academic Title in 2007 and the CODiE Award for Best Science or Technology Service in 2008. The database was developed in conjunction with research librarians to improve search precision, relevance, and efficiency.
