How Libertas Uses Tumblr to Build Article Visibility

Posted Wed, Jun, 20,2012

Libertas now operates a highly successful Tumblr blog with almost 1,000 followers and over 500 posts.

Libertas also has editor status for the Science category so pictures of our choice can be promoted and will appear on Tumblr’s main science page.

Articles with interesting pictures are promoted through Tumblr, with the images displayed in full and a link to the article in the description. A weekly list of articles published is also included so articles without images are also promoted there.

Tumblr has over 58 million blogs, more than 24.7 billion posts, and receives over 13 billion views per month. The website is popular amongst researchers aged 18-34 in the USA, India, Japan, the UK, and Brazil. Our investment in visibility through Tumblr ensures researchers of all ages are aware of articles published in Libertas journals.

author_survey_results
All authors are surveyed after their articles are published. Authors are asked to rate their experience in a variety of areas, and their responses help us to monitor our performance. Presented here are their responses in some key areas. No 'poor' or 'very poor' responses were received; these are represented in the 'other' category.
